Blaster and Painter

Paying $25 / HR

Location - Portland, OR

Responsibilities:

• This role will assist in the build of a new barge being built at a dry dock.
• Contractors will maneuver industrial grade blasting hoses to designated work stations. These are roughly the size of fire hoses.
• They will follow instructions and complete preparation necessary prior to the paint team beginning their work.
• Remove old paint and rust to prep the surface.
• Those with good industrial painting experience will be potentially asked to complete paint work on the barge.

Qualifications:

• Must be physically able to lift long and heavy hoses for both paint and blasting use.
• Prior marine/industrial painting experience is preferred.
• Must be comfortable in confined spaces.
• Must be comfortable working outside in the elements.

Environment/ Shift:

• Outside in the elements. There are covered areas as well.
• Day shift and swing shift, Monday - Friday.
