Soliant Education is seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Teacher to join our team in Yorktown, Virginia. This full-time position focuses on supporting elementary students (Grades K-5) in a resource classroom setting. Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to the specific needs of students.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and parents to ensure that students meet their educational goals.
- Provide direct instruction in small groups or one-on-one, utilizing evidence-based teaching strategies.
- Monitor student progress and adjust instruction as needed.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes academic, social, and emotional growth.
- Stay updated on special education laws and best practices.
- Valid Special Education Teaching License in the state of Virginia (or the ability to obtain one).
- Experience working with elementary-aged students in a resource classroom setting is preferred.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
