Compounding Manager

The Compounding Manager will oversee the compounding operations for the company. They will lead a team of compounders across three shifts, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strict adherence to processes throughout the compounding process. The Compounding Manager will direct activities to optimize or implement processes and equipment to ensure the efficiency of the compounding department.
• Oversee & manage compounding, sanitization, and chemical room operations for the company ensuring the achievement of the production schedule on a daily basis through optimal use of personnel, raw materials, equipment, and time.
• Ensure compliance with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) & regulatory requirements throughout the compounding process.
• Monitor quality control measures during compounding to ensure consistency and accuracy and collaborate with the QA department to investigate and implement corrective actions when errors occur.
• Responsible for accurate usage reporting of chemical raw material (bulk & non-bulk) & finished bulk product.
• Lead and mentor the compounding team, conduct performance reviews, and oversee training and recruitment to foster a culture of collaboration, safety, and continuous improvement.
• Plan, schedule, and manage team tasks to ensure adequate staffing for uninterrupted support of production across all shifts.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of production activities, batch records, inventory transactions, and deviations, ensuring documentation integrity within the quality system.
• Identify, design, optimize, and implement process improvements to streamline operations, reduce waste, and increase productivity in the Compounding area.
• Anticipate, address, and correct compounding errors by analyzing mistakes and implementing procedures to prevent future compounding or material handling errors.
• Enforce safety protocols and cleanliness to ensure compliance with company safety policies within the compounding area.

Work Environment- Supporting the Pre-Weigh and Batching/Compounding department. Floor and Office mix. M-F 8a-4:30pm **Will need to ensure coverage and development for all three shifts. Direct Reports: 1st shift: 5 Compounders, 1 lead 2nd shift: 4 Compounders 3rd shift: 2 Compounders
