Job Description

We are seeking an experienced MIG Welder to join our team. You will spend the majority of your day welding plates to beams and columns on steel that will be used in large structures across the country. You will be welding Flux-core and MIG welds on rails and stairs.

Responsibilities
  • Weld plates to beams and columns using Flux-core and MIG welding techniques.
  • Work on structural steel projects, ensuring high-quality welds.
  • Read and interpret welding blueprints and weld symbols.
  • Measure and cut materials accurately using a tape measure.
Essential Skills
  • 1+ years of experience in MIG Welding and Flux Cored Arc Welding (FCAW).
  • Proficiency in reading welding blueprints and weld symbols.
  • Ability to accurately read and use a tape measure.
  • Experience in welding structural steel or relevant schooling.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience in fabrication and blueprint reading.

Work Environment

You will work the 1st shift from 5:30am to 4:00pm Monday through Thursday and 5:30am to 3:00pm on Friday, totaling 49 mandatory hours per week. The environment resembles a large steel mill, focusing on large structural beams where precision is critical. Our facility is equipped to handle both structural and miscellaneous steel fabrication on a grand scale.
