Summary of Responsibilities:

As a Sales Quotation Specialist you will assist with the development of quotations. You will coordinate in relation to creating, analyzing, pricing, and quoting based on customer requirements. You will be responsible for answering inquiries, dealing with issues, and solving problems in a positive manner to ensure a superior level of customer experience. You will also be responsible for the following quotations activities:

  • Coordinate all required information for the preparation of final submittals, drawings and other documents to vendors and back to the customer.
  • Responsible for uploading quotes via the customer portal accurately and in a timely manner to meet required deadlines
  • Interpret customer requirements, match products to customer specifications and drawings. Ensure quote is compatible with the customer’s requirements.
  • Use best knowledge and practices to prepare quotation based on the product content and material type.
  • Coordinate with sales/ QC Manager/ Purchasing/ Sourcing Team and collaborate to ensure customer requirements are handled accurately.
  • Field customer inquiries and coordinate vendor relationships to ensure timely response.
  • Gather required data for quote preparation. Build and maintain pricing measurements for decision making processes. Maintain quote tracker with all and every quotation received accurately.

Skills, Knowledge, and Education Requirements:

  • Seeking an individual with a minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a similar role with strong business and customer service background preferably in a technical or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office products. Intermediate level Excel skills required.
  • Inside/ outside sales experience with a quotation background a plus.
  • Excellent communications, time management and organization skills are essential to success.
  • Strong analytical and data management skills are key.
  • Must be patient, highly organized and thrive in a fast-paced environment, supporting a highly influential customer.

Language Ability:

Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Ability to effectively communicate with customers and staff to make an accurate assessment of customer needs. Ability to create and make presentations.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to verify and calculate figures such as commissions. Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations required to accurately complete assigned tasks.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or schedule form. Ability to use sound judgment and problem solving skills to analyze customer problems and to recommend the proper course of action. Ability to organize and prioritize job projects and requirements.

Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of word processing software, spreadsheet software, inventory software, internet software and order processing systems.
