Job Title: Temporary Buyer (12-Month)
Location: Peachtree City, GA
Hourly Rate: $25-$28/hour

Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Buyer to join our team in Peachtree City, GA, on a temporary basis for a 12-month period. This position is responsible for performing procurement activities for assigned OEM suppliers to support customer orders and inventory replenishment. The Buyer will act as the primary point of contact between the company and the OEM(s), monitor supplier performance, and facilitate continuous improvements.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Operational Relationship Management:

    • Manage day-to-day procurement activities with Business Units (BUs).

    • Participate in Procurement Service QRQC.

    • Own Purchase Orders (PO) from creation to invoicing.

    • Ensure alignment of CRD with CLT/PLT and validate prices.

    • Negotiate lead times and quantities with BU based on their capacity.

    • Ensure Planned Purchase Orders (PPO) are placed within 48 hours.

    • Ensure receipt of Acknowledgment (ACK) within 48 hours of PO placement.

    • Analyze deliveries for the next 7 days, identify missed SPD, and request revised dates.

    • Manage parts returns to BU and coordinate credit notes (Buy-back).

  • Weekly Review Meetings:

    • Lead weekly meetings with BU and Procurement Coordinator to review:

      • PO cancellations

      • Delivery improvements

      • ACK issues not received within 48 hours

      • AOG orders and ASN/EDI issues

      • Pricing discrepancies

      • Late backlog and revised dates with root causes

      • Order Book Alignment with BU Backlog

      • Crisis management for identified part numbers

Qualifications:

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Proficient in ERP/MRP systems, Excel spreadsheets, and Word documents.

  • Familiarity with ERP system and relevant software.

  • Solid understanding of supply chain, logistics, MRP, and inventory management processes.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; 2+ years of relevant experience in procurement

  • Four-year college degree is a plus.

  • ISM/APICS certification is a plus.



Pay Details: $25.00 to $28.00 per hour
