Job Description

- Responsible for all mechanical and electrical repairs for tubing mill equipment

- Respond to repairs and all breakdowns

- Troubleshoot motors, fuses, relays, gear boxes, encoders

- Troubleshoot AB and Siemens PLC's

- Troubleshooting of hydraulics

- Installing, maintaining and repairing electrical motors, air compressors, fans, and pumps

- Fabricate, assemble and test parts as needed (various pumps, valves, heaters, compressors, fire equipment, and other mechanical system parts)

- CMMS (Ability to knock out work orders and order parts)

- Other duties as assigned (painting, plumbing, general building maintenance)

Hard Skills

- Troubleshooting hydraulics

- 2+ years Mechanical Maintenance

- Electrical Troubleshooting

Job Type

- This is a permanent position.

Work Site

- This is a fully on-site position in Gary, Indiana.

Work Environment

- Culture: We are all in it together and we need people who work together towards our production goals. If an operator messes up, we use it as a learning point to get better.

- Dress code: Metatarsals, hard hats, glasses, long sleeved shirts and gloves

- Environment: Dark environment, with no windows. Can get dirty and most mechanics will be greasy.

- 1 opening on 2nd shift 3pm-1am - 10 hour days, Monday through Thursday. OT on Fridays and even some weekends.
