Job DescriptionJob DescriptionLHH has partnered with a client in search of a staff accountant to join their finance team. The staff accountant will play a crucial role in preparing financial statements, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting the overall financial health of the organization. The ideal candidate should be well-versed in accounting principles and possess a problem-solving attitude.
Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts
  • Ensure accurate recording of financial transactions
  • Assist in preparing annual financial statements
  • Reconcile bank statements
  • Prepare journal entries
  • Perform variance analysis to identify trends and discrepancies in financial data
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts
  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
  • Participate in month-end and year-end close processes
  • Assist with internal and external audits as needed
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • CPA certification or progress towards certification is a plus
  • Proven experience in an accounting or finance role
  • Solid understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel


Pay Details: $55,000.00 to $60,000.00 per year
