Position: Roofing Foreman

Location: Sterling, VA

Employment Type: Full-time

Salary: $58,240 - $66,560

 

Position Summary:

We are currently seeking an experienced Roofing Foreman to manage and oversee all aspects of our roofing projects in the Virginia/DC areas. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of various roofing systems, including steep and low-slope options, and siding installations. This role is pivotal in ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and above all, with the utmost quality.

 

Responsibilities:

 

Project Management:

 

Oversee day-to-day field operations of construction projects.

Coordinate project timelines and milestones with Project Management Teams, Owners, Subcontractors, Architects, Engineers, and Office Staff.

Ensure operations on the construction site run smoothly and efficiently.

Team Leadership:

 

Lead and supervise teams of subcontractor crews specializing in roofing and siding.

Host regular site meetings to report progress and troubleshoot issues.

Quality Control:

 

Monitor and enforce compliance with building codes and safety regulations.

Perform regular inspections and quality assessments throughout the project lifecycle.

Safety Compliance:

 

Implement and oversee safety protocols to ensure all team members comply with safety standards.

Organize safety training and ensure proper usage of personal protective equipment.

Budget Management:

 

Assist with project cost estimations and budget management.

Monitor expenses and provide financial reporting to management.

Problem-Solving:

 

Address and resolve any issues that arise, ensuring minimal impact on project timelines.

Implement corrective measures to mitigate risks and prevent future problems.

Qualifications:

 

A high school diploma or equivalent is required; further education in construction management is preferred.

Proven roofing foreman experience or a similar supervisory role in construction.

Expert knowledge of roofing materials, techniques, and safety standards, including TPO, BUR, modified bitumen, and EPDM systems.

Demonstrated leadership with strong team management, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Proficiency in project management software and MS Office.

Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to various job sites within 45 minutes of Sterling, VA.
