Job Description

As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for operating blow molding machines and equipment to produce plastic packaging products for various industries such as dairy, water, and chemicals. You will ensure that all safety functions are in place and perform quality checks and weight adjustments on machines as needed.

Responsibilities
  • Operate blow molding machines and equipment
  • Troubleshoot equipment problems and perform change-overs
  • Maintain maximum efficiency of equipment
  • Ensure all guards, shields, and safety functions are in place and working properly
  • Perform quality checks on plastic bottles every hour
  • Make weight adjustments on machines as necessary
  • Work with scales and adjust weights when needed
  • Use small hand tools provided by the company
  • Follow lockout/tagout procedures (training provided)
Essential Skills
  • At least 1 year of experience in plastic machine operation
  • Experience with blow molding
  • Mechanical inclination
  • Troubleshooting skills
  • Experience with injection molding machines and plastic injection
  • Proficiency with hand and power tools
  • Any experience with blow molding or injection molding is ideal
  • Chemical operator experience is also acceptable

Shift

The facility operates on three shifts: 1st shift (7:00am-3:30pm), 2nd shift (3:00pm-11:30pm), and 3rd shift (11:00pm-7:30am, Sunday to Thursday). Candidates will train on the 1st shift for 1-2 months before moving to their respective shifts. The work environment includes two 10-minute breaks and one 30-minute unpaid lunch. The average workweek is 40-50 hours with occasional Saturdays required. The facility adheres to GMP standards, requiring no jewelry, fake nails, hair nets, beard nets, and steel-toed shoes.

Pay

This position is paying $22.50/hr, and there are shift premiums for 2nd and 3rd shift.
