Special Education Paraprofessional Vail, Colorado

Location: Vail, CO
Job Type: Full-Time

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Special Education Paraprofessional to join our team in Vail, Colorado. As a paraprofessional, you will provide essential support to students with special needs, working closely with certified teachers to foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist students with daily academic and social tasks based on their Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Provide one-on-one or small group instruction and support.
  • Help manage classroom activities and maintain a structured environment.
  • Support students with personal care needs, if necessary.
  • Monitor student progress and report observations to the lead teacher.
  • Assist in maintaining communication with parents and guardians.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other staff to implement strategies that promote student success.

Qualifications:

  • Experience working with children with special needs (preferred but not required).
  • Ability to demonstrate patience, empathy, and adaptability.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent (required); additional coursework in education or special education is a plus.
  • Ability to follow directions and collaborate with a team.
  • Must be able to pass a background check.
