LHH is looking for professionals dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care. We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Medical Biller with a focus on insurance collections and remediation to join our dynamic team. This role is crucial in ensuring the accuracy of our billing processes and optimizing our revenue cycle.
Pay: $20-25/hr
Hours: Full Time, Days
Location: Phoenix, AZ
Position Overview:
As a Medical Biller specializing in insurance collections and remediation, you will be responsible for managing and resolving insurance claims, ensuring accurate billing, and maintaining effective communication with insurance providers. You will play a key role in minimizing claim denials, expediting payments, and improving our overall revenue cycle management.
Key Responsibilities:
Insurance Collections:
Review and analyze insurance claims to identify and resolve issues.
Follow up on unpaid or underpaid claims with insurance companies.
Contact insurance companies to obtain necessary information and ensure timely payment.
Remediation:
Investigate and correct errors in billing or claim submissions.
Work with internal teams to resolve billing discrepancies and address patient inquiries.
Develop and implement strategies for reducing claim denials and improving reimbursement rates.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of all claim submissions, follow-ups, and resolutions.
Generate and review reports to monitor collection activities and identify trends.
Prepare detailed reports and documentation for management review.
Customer Service:
Communicate effectively with patients and insurance providers to resolve billing issues.
Provide exceptional customer service and support to ensure patient satisfaction.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration or related field preferred.
Minimum of 2+ years of experience in medical billing with a focus on insurance collections and remediation.
Proficiency in medical billing software and electronic health records (EHR) systems.
Strong understanding of medical coding, insurance guidelines, and billing procedures.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
