Warehouse Worker

The warehouse worker contributes to the efficient operation of the warehouse by providing labor support to the Branch Office. Warehouse workers in this job perform a range of general and specific warehouse tasks that can be easily learned on the job such as receiving, stocking, assembling, staging, loading, and unloading products.
Responsibilities- Package finished product for shipping (shrink wrapping, boxing, labeling).
- Order picking off paper sheets for next day's purchase orders/work orders to ensure that products are correctly assembled and ready for shipment.
- Load finished product onto trucks (rice, flour, cups, packages, etc.).
- Unload product from trucks, containers, and stock them in the designated area.
- Responsible for quality control. Ensure that no damaged products are sent out, and no damaged product will be stored.
- Operate within standard operating procedures.
- Handle inventory movement into and out of controlled locations.
- Prepare customers’ orders for delivery.
- Provide fill-in support for other departments in the warehouse.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Experience working in a warehouse - must
- Experience operating a forklift or pallet jack - highly preferred
- Ability to work in different temperature-controlled departments (Freezer, Deli Refrigerator, and Room Temperature) - must
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Ability to stand on feet all day
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions correctly
- Workers are required to rotate working in the freezer for an entire week at a time (one week per month)
- Attendance is very important (call-outs need to be 48 hours in advance to get other employee coverage)

Work EnvironmentClean distribution warehouse with a total of 5 people. Drivers are out the majority of the days doing deliveries. The warehouse has three different temperature-controlled sections (Freezer, Deli, and Main Room Temperature). Steel-toed boots are required. The typical work week is Monday-Friday (standard 40 hours per week) from 8:00am-5:00pm.
