Our client is a rapidly expanding company with multiple divisions contributing to our success. With a focus on innovation and customer satisfaction, they strive to provide top-tier services in their industry. As they continue to grow, they are seeking a dynamic and collaborative Divisional Controller to join their team. This role will be one of several controllers, each responsible for overseeing the financial operations of a specific division within the company.

Position Overview:

As the Divisional Controller, you will play a pivotal role in leading the financial management of your assigned division. Working closely with the divisional leadership team, you will be responsible for providing financial insights, analysis, and strategic guidance to support the division's goals and objectives. You will collaborate with the other controllers to ensure consistency in financial reporting, policies, and procedures across divisions, while also addressing the unique needs and challenges of your division.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis for your assigned division.
  • Partner with divisional leadership to develop and execute financial strategies that align with the division's growth and profitability targets.
  • Lead the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports, including monthly/quarterly financial statements, variance analysis, and performance metrics.
  • Work closely with divisional department heads to develop annual budgets, track performance against targets, and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate with the other controllers to establish and maintain standardized financial processes, controls, and best practices across divisions.
  • Provide financial leadership and guidance to divisional teams, serving as a trusted advisor on matters related to finance, accounting, and business strategy.
  • Proactively identify risks and opportunities within your division, and develop strategies to mitigate risks and capitalize on opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies and support internal and external audits as needed.


• Possession of a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.

• Detail-oriented experience in the construction industry, ideally in a financial or managerial role.

• Proficient understanding of construction cost and its implications on project budgeting and profitability.

• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and reports.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective team collaboration and decision-making.

• Proficient in using financial software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

• Solid understanding of financial regulations and standards, including GAAP.

• Ability to foresee risks and allow for contingency when planning.

• CPA certification is preferred but not mandatory.
