We are currently seeking qualified candidatesfor the position of Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI)for the school year in Renton, WA. We are looking for dedicated professionalswho have a passion for working with visually impaired students in a school setting.

Job Details:

• Discipline: Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI)
• Location: Renton, WA
• School Year: 2024-25 with potential to renew
• 32.5 hours
• 25 Students

Position Requirements:

• Valid certification or licensure as a TVI
• Experience working with visually impaired students

Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized instruction to visually impaired students in the school setting
• Conduct assessments to evaluate students' visual needs and develop appropriate educational plans
• Adapt curriculum materials and instructional strategies to meet the unique needs of visually impaired students
• Teach students skills related to visual impairment, including orientation and mobility, independent living skills, and assistive technology use
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure students' success and inclusion in the school munity
