Hours: 7:35 AM - 2:20 PM
Caseload: High School, Resource Room
Start Date: ASAP (Math Teacher) & February 1st (ELA Teacher)
End Date: End of School Year (6/20/25)
Position Type: Full-Time, Temporary
Position Overview:
ProCare Therapy is seeking two dedicated Special Education Teachers to fill Math and ELA positions at a high school in Somerville, NJ. The Math Teacher position begins ASAP and runs through the end of the school year (6/20/25), while the ELA Teacher position begins on February 1st. Both positions are in a Resource Room setting, providing individualized instruction to high school students with special education needs.
Responsibilities:
- For Math: Provide individualized math instruction in a Resource Room setting.
- For ELA: Deliver English Language Arts instruction to students with disabilities.
- Collaborate with general education teachers to ensure student success and adherence to IEPs.
- Develop, implement, and track IEPs for students.
- Provide regular assessments and report student progress.
- Participate in IEP meetings and maintain communication with families and school staff.
- Use behavioral management strategies to promote a positive learning environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree or higher in Special Education or a related field.
- New Jersey State Certification in Special Education (required).
- Experience working with high school students with special needs is preferred.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
- Passion for working with students with diverse learning needs.
