Job Description:
This position serves as a leader of projects; to be responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of specific projects ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments and goals.

Positional Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering, Land Surveying, Landscape Architecture or other discipline relevant to the firm's services.

  • Professional Registration.

  • 4 years minimum of post collegiate experience in Infrastructure Design with a working history in the following areas:

  • Hands-on design and construction services experience.

  • Staff leadership & development.

  • Project management.

  • Maintenance of a profitable line of business.

  • Demonstrated ability to resolve complex issues with several decision making entities.

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.

  • Demonstrated ability to work extended hours when necessary.

  • Demonstrated ability to take on multiple responsibilities.

  • Familiarity with personal safety while on construction sites.

  • Demonstrated ability to work with little direction or guidance and must be available to respond to clients on an as-needed basis.

Typical positional duties include the following tasks and responsibilities:

Technical:

  • Unsupervised design, consulting, and preparation of engineering documents for a wide range of project types and sizes.

  • Unsupervised project and personnel management (internal staff and external project consultants) for consulting projects; including, marketing, contract management, billing/collection, and project profitability for PEG projects

  • Creates and executes project work plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.

  • Identifies resources needed and assigns individual responsibilities.

  • Manages day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope.

  • Reviews deliverables prepared by team before passing to client.

  • Effectively applies our methodology and enforces project standards.

  • Prepares for engagement reviews and quality assurance procedures.

  • Minimizes our exposure and risk on project.

  • Ensures project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.
