Actalent is immediately hiring for a Quality Technician in a food manufacturing environment here in the Columbus/West Jefferson area. This role is in a brand new facility with all new state-of-the-art lab equipment This is an exciting long-term career opportunity looking for someone who wants to continue growing in the field This role will be working in a climate controlled facility

An ideal candidate will have experience in a food manufacturing environment, primarily working in quality although that is not required. We currently have openings on both 1st and 3rd shift

Job Description:

  • Perform quality checks on in-process products
  • Inspect and sample incoming ingredients to submit for internal lab testing as required
  • Verify proper set-up of production lines at start-up and shift change
  • Ensure lab equipment, refrigerators, and thermometer, among others, are properly maintained and calibrated
  • Adhere to safe work practices, follows necessary regulations and guidelines.
  • Maintains sanitary conditions and ensure that product quality is maintained.
  • Will be trained on and perform some basic laboratory testing such as PH, Color, Solids, Viscosity.

Additional Skills and Qualifications:

  • Must have a High School Diploma or GED and experience in a food manufacturing/production environment.
