Position: Operating Room (OR) Manager
Location: Chicago, IL
Duration: 13 Weeks
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM 4:00 PM (with rotating weekend and night on-call duties)
On-Call: Rotates Monday-Friday 24/7 with other Coordinators; weekend on-call rotation required

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Operating Room (OR) Manager for a 13-week travel assignment in Chicago, IL. As the OR Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of the operating room, ensuring high-quality care, efficient staffing, and smooth workflow. You will work closely with surgical teams and nursing staff to manage the OR schedule, maintain inventory, and support clinical and administrative functions.

This is a day shift position with hours from 6:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday, but on-call responsibilities are included and rotate with other coordinators. You may be required to be available on weekends or nights based on unit needs.

Requirements:
  • 3-5 years of OR management experience required
  • Proven experience with surgical coordination, staff management, and OR efficiency
  • Ability to lead and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in a busy surgical environment
  • Experience in managing staff schedules, inventory control, and quality improvement initiatives
  • Strong knowledge of EPIC or similar EMR systems preferred
  • BLS certification required
  • ACLS certification preferred
  • CNOR certification preferred
  • Ability to work on a rotating on-call schedule (including weekends and nights)
