Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated General Production Worker to join our team. This role involves operating machinery, ensuring quality control, reading blueprints, performing routine maintenance, managing inventory, adhering to safety protocols, and maintaining accurate documentation.

Responsibilities
  • Set-Up and Operation: Prepare and operate basic machinery to manufacture sheet metal parts according to specifications.
  • Quality Control: Inspect parts during and after production to ensure they meet quality standards.
  • Blueprint Reading: Interpret and work from basic blueprints to ensure accurate production.
  • Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Inventory Management: Track and manage materials and supplies needed for production.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of production activities and machinery maintenance.
Essential Skills
  • Machine operating or assembly experience
  • Experience in a manufacturing setting
  • Mechanical ability
  • Ability to use basic blueprints
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • 1-3 years experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • Proficiency with tools such as tape measures
  • Experience as an assembler or machine operator

Work Environment

This role operates in a fast-paced manufacturing facility with state-of-the-art equipment. The position requires working Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Most tasks will be performed independently within the fabrication department, although occasional collaboration with others may be necessary. The role involves standing or sitting for extended periods, performing repetitive tasks.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Allentown, New Jersey.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00
