Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician with strong communication and problem-solving abilities. The ideal candidate will contribute to our team by completing tasks on time and with high quality, while fostering a sense of teamwork across all departments and job levels. This role involves diagnosing and resolving technical problems with industrial food production and packaging equipment, as well as the plant's facilities.

Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and resolve technical problems with industrial food production and packaging equipment and plant facilities, including pumps, motors, low pressure boiler, air compressors, conveyor, heat sealers, printers, labelers, blowers, warehouse dock doors, dehydrator, mill, blender, carts, and chillers.
  • Communicate appropriate information about equipment and repairs to operational personnel, supervisors, and other team members.
  • Utilize troubleshooting skills in electrical, pneumatic, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Devise, fabricate, and assemble new or modified mechanical components or assemblies for industrial equipment and machinery.
  • Perform calibration of instruments such as temperature gauges, thermocouples, pressure gauges, flowmeters, and scales, and maintain records according to the calibration plan.
  • Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities.
  • Close out work orders using a web-based Maintenance Management System.
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
  • Communicate with equipment suppliers for technical support.
  • Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and other equipment.
  • Comply with safety regulations, food safety program, and other standard operating procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
  • Assist with special projects as required.
  • Work overtime as needed.
Essential Skills
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in diagnosing and resolving technical problems with industrial food production and packaging equipment.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical, pneumatic, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Ability to devise, fabricate, and assemble new or modified mechanical components or assemblies.
  • Experience in performing calibration of instruments and maintaining calibration records.
  • Capability to perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and facilities.
  • Proficiency in using a web-based Maintenance Management System.
  • Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders.
  • Experience in using a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and other equipment.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.67 - $31.35
