Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWe are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Desktop Support Analyst in Marshville, North Carolina. This role is in the IT industry and involves providing technical support and maintaining systems hardware. The workplace is on-site, where you will report to the IT manager. Responsibilities:
• Provide desktop support, troubleshooting hardware and software issues
• Implement customer service skills to assist clients with technical issues
• Maintain and manage systems hardware including switches and time clocks
• Utilize knowledge of Microsoft SQL and MS SQL Server in daily tasks
• Administer VMware and VMware Infrastructure for virtualization purposes
• Handle networking duties, including managing CAT5 and CAT6 cables and TCP/IP protocols
• Conduct regular corporate maintenance and equipment maintenance tasks
• Manage and monitor customer accounts, taking appropriate action when necessary
• Process customer applications efficiently and maintain accurate customer records
• Be open to feedback and continuously improve upon existing processes and systems.• Proven experience as a Desktop Support Analyst or similar role with a minimum of 2 years of experience
• Solid understanding of Desktop Support and related technologies
• Exceptional customer service skills and a client-focused approach
• Familiarity with Systems hardware and Equipment Maintenance
• Proficiency in MS SQL Server, Microsoft SQL, and VMware
• Knowledge of VMware Infrastructure and Virtualization technologies
• Experience with Networking, including TCP/IP, Switches, CAT5, and CAT6
• Ability to work with the Time Clock system
• Experience in Corporate Maintenance
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Relevant certifications or degrees in IT or related field would be advantageous.
