Job Description
We are seeking a Maintenance Planner who will improve workforce productivity and work quality for Corrective and Preventive Maintenance work orders and Environmental Services work orders by anticipating and eliminating potential delays through planning and coordination of manpower, parts, material, and equipment access. Reporting to the Housing Services Manager and maintaining liaison between the collective bargaining unit, this role is responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordination of all work.
Responsibilities- Serve as the principal contact for all work to ensure timely, efficient, and high-quality completion.
- Plan all work to ensure 100% equipment up-time to meet operational and customer service goals.
- Describe work in terms of how it is to be performed and what resources are required, including manpower and equipment.
- Review each job to determine the best and most cost-efficient way to complete it, including job site visitation and consultation with vendors and supervision.
- Utilize equipment history and CMMS for historical data to determine a plan of action.
- Assemble job plan packages including manpower, job steps, materials, tools, and supporting documentation.
- Purchase all source material as needed while complying with all University purchasing guidelines.
- Allocate and coordinate resources to complete work and determine work priorities.
- Coordinate planned vacancies of the labor force and react to unplanned vacancies, reporting to the Housing Manager as required.
- Maintain reports and historical data via the CMMS and custodial management program.

- General and comprehensive knowledge of facilities/custodial operations, equipment, building systems, and computer monitoring and reporting
- High school diploma required
- Working knowledge of blueprints, building management and alarm systems
- General understanding of skill sets such as Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, and Carpentry

Work EnvironmentThe role is based in Student Housing. The work environment involves using various technologies and equipment, with hours and shifts determined by operational needs. The dress code is aligned with the facility's requirements.
