Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Cherry Picker Operator to join our receiving department. The successful candidate will operate cherry pickers and utilize RF scanners and systems to put away and pull products for shipping.

Responsibilities

• Operate cherry pickers to retrieve and store products.
• Use RF scanners to manage inventory and track product movement.
• Pick orders accurately and efficiently.
• Operate forklifts and electric pallet jacks as needed.
• Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Perform inventory checks and manage stock levels.
• Ensure safety protocols are followed, especially when working at heights.
• Participate in weekly performance reviews and feedback sessions.

Essential Skills

• Experience operating cherry pickers and forklifts.
• Proficiency with RF scanners and inventory systems.
• Comfortable working at heights of 15-20 feet.
• Ability to lift, carry, pull, and push up to 70 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds occasionally.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to read and write in English.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• General warehouse experience, preferably in the Picking department.
• Forklift certification or willingness to obtain one.
• Experience with computers and scanning equipment.
• Problem-solving abilities and the ability to work independently.
• Willingness to work weekday and weekend overtime as required.

Work Environment

The work environment is a distribution center for scientific equipment, with products being sent to schools, hospitals, and medical labs. The facility has a team of about 100-120 employees, divided into receiving, picking, and shipping teams. The typical shift is Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm, with employees often working 10-hour days early in the week and an average of 45 hours per week. Employees will be picking for the entire shift and must be comfortable working at heights.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Nazareth, Pennsylvania.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00
