Job Description

The Configuration Installer is responsible for preparing a high volume of computers, printers, and other products for technicians on a daily basis. This role also involves boxing and un-boxing units along with installing basic hardware components as needed.

Responsibilities
  • Un-boxing and prepping units for technicians.
  • Installing basic hardware components into customers' systems to their required specifications.
  • Re-boxing and preparing boxes for shipment.
  • Utilizing a forklift or pallet-jack to move products throughout the warehouse/department.
  • Maintaining minimum monthly productivity.
  • Ensuring that customers receive the highest level of customer service through exceptional quality standards and order responsiveness.
  • Communicating issues concerning customer orders to the area Help Desk or Supervisor.
  • Adhering to safety procedures and guidelines at all times.
  • Keeping the work area organized through daily cleaning and removal of garbage and pallet jacks.
Essential Skills
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. (rarely).
  • 6+ months of warehouse experience.
  • High School Diploma.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Analytical skills and the ability to solve problems.
  • Ability to quickly learn about new technology and keep pace with an ever-changing industry.
  • Ability to assemble and disassemble computer equipment and be mechanically inclined.
  • Ability to work in a warehouse environment which includes changes in temperature, noise from conveyors and forklifts.
  • Demonstrated ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds of force rarely (0-12% of the workday). The team lift system must be utilized for loads weighing more than 50 pounds.
  • Demonstrated ability to push and pull up to 50 pounds of force occasionally (0-33% of the workday), and 51-75 pounds rarely (0-12% of the workday).
  • Demonstrated ability to perform eight or more hours of standing, walking, bending, lifting, stooping, and carrying products in combination at any given time.
