Responsibilities:
• Develop software individually and help improve the team
• Help define and implement algorithms for financial forecasting and modeling
• Full-stack development with a focus on API design and implementation
• Provide Operational support with building platform monitoring tools/dashboards, ad hoc reports
• Defect Fixes, Performance Testing, Endurance testing
Qualifications:
• You have at least a BS in Computer Science or equivalent.
• You have been writing software professionally for at least eight years
• You understand principles of application and data security
• You have a knack for understanding complex algorithms and applying them
• You are experienced in giving code reviews and technical design feedback, with opinions on coding practices and methodologies.
• Must have demonstrated proficiency and experience in the following tools and technologies:
o Kotlin (ktor, koin, jooq)
o Java 8 (Lambdas, Streams, Completable Future, optional, generics)
o Test Driven Development
o Open API (swagger) specification
o Designing database schemas, index design, optimizations for query tuning
o Working knowledge of cloud technologies (eg. docker, ECS, AWS systems)
o Modern software engineering tools: git workflows, Gradle, load testing tools, mock frameworks
o Good knowledge of messaging systems like Kafka, MQ
