Special Education Teacher Multiple Openings in Utica, MI (2024-2025 School Year)

Positions Available: 6 Special Education Teacher Openings (Elementary & Middle School)

Soliant Education is seeking passionate and dedicated Special Education Teachers for several open positions in Utica, Michigan, for the 2024-2025 school year. These are onsite contract positions offering excellent benefits, including health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k), and weekly pay. We are looking for professionals who are ready to make a difference and are mitted to working with students in need of specialized support.

Available Positions:

Position 1:

  • Start: ASAP
  • End: June 6th, 2025
  • Grade Level: K-5th (Elementary)
  • Hours: 7.33 hours/day
  • Details:
    • Max 8 students per class
    • 2 paraprofessionals and additional 1:1 support staff available
    • Focus on academically high-functioning Special Ed students with noticeable behaviors
    • Onsite

Position 2:

  • Start: ASAP
  • End: June 6th, 2025
  • Grade Level: 6th-8th (Middle School)
  • Hours: 7.33 hours/day
  • Details:
    • Max 8 students per class
    • 2 paraprofessionals and additional 1:1 support staff available
    • Focus on academically high-functioning Special Ed students with noticeable behaviors
    • Onsite

Position 3:

  • Start: ASAP
  • End: June 6th, 2025
  • Grade Level: 6th-8th (Middle School)
  • Hours: 7.33 hours/day
  • Details:
    • Max 8 students per class

Position 4 (LOA Coverage):

  • Start: ASAP
  • End: 12/19/2024
  • Grade Level: K-5th (Elementary)
  • Hours: 7.33 hours/day
  • Details:
    • Max 8 students per class
    • 2 paraprofessionals and additional 1:1 support staff available
    • Covering for an LOA (Leave of Absence)
    • Focus on academically high-functioning Special Ed students with noticeable behaviors
    • Onsite

Position 5 (Resource):

  • Start: ASAP
  • End: June 6th, 2025
  • Grade Level: K-5th (Elementary)
  • Hours: 7.33 hours/day
  • Details:
    • Provide elementary age help in various areas of special education support
    • Onsite

Position 6 (Resource, LOA Coverage):

  • Start: ASAP
  • End: June 6th, 2025
  • Grade Level: K-5th (Elementary)
  • Hours: 7.33 hours/day
  • Details:
    • Max 8 students per class
    • Covering for an LOA (Leave of Absence)
    • Provide elementary age help in various areas of special education support
    • Onsite
Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct instruction and support to students with special needs.
  • Implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for each student.
  • Collaborate with paraprofessionals, support staff, and parents to ensure the success of students.
  • Modify and adapt curriculum to meet the needs of students.
  • Monitor student progress and provide ongoing feedback.
  • Manage classroom behavior effectively to foster a positive and productive learning environment.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with other educational staff.
Requirements:
  • Michigan Teaching Certificate with any Special Education Endorsement (SV endorsement preferred).
  • Must meet No Child Left Behind (NCLB) standards.
  • Experience working with students with behavioral challenges and academic needs is preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team setting and municate with staff, students, and parents.
  • Must be able to manage classroom behavior and provide positive, effective learning environments.
