Job Type: Temp to Hire
Pay Rate: $25-$30 per hour
Shift: Night Shift (6 PM - 2 AM, Monday-Friday)
Number of Positions: 1

Job Summary:
The Quality Control (QC) Technician is essential in maintaining the integrity of our manufacturing processes at our ISO-certified plants. This role requires an individual who can perform a variety of tests, including compressive strength and thickness, to ensure product quality standards are met consistently. The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable in manufacturing concepts and practices, with a strong commitment to safety, quality, service, and cost.

Technical Skills Required:

  • Solid understanding of manufacturing concepts and practices (required)
  • Familiarity with quality control practices in a manufacturing environment (preferred)

Essential Duties:

  • Conduct in-process, finished good, compression, and thickness sampling and testing
  • Prepare lab testing samples following standard operating and safety procedures
  • Retrieve samples from warehouse as necessary
  • Assist with QC and technical team projects, including trial work
  • Communicate effectively with production operators and leadership
  • Manage issues regarding abnormal or out-of-spec quality results
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in work areas
  • Perform additional projects as needed

Technical Knowledge/Skills:

  • Proficiency in G-Suite with intermediate finite math and analytical abilities
  • Familiarity with standard manufacturing concepts, practices, and procedures
  • Preferred experience in quality control testing within a manufacturing environment

General Knowledge/Skills:

  • Ability to respond professionally and promptly
  • Strong verbal and electronic communication skills
  • Excellent planning, prioritization, and organizational skills
  • Capable of solving problems independently
  • Meticulous and detail-oriented

Physical Requirements:

  • Frequent sitting, standing, and walking; occasional climbing, stooping, kneeling
  • Frequent use of hands for grasping, handling, or feeling objects, tools, and product samples
  • Must be able to lift/move up to 10 lbs. regularly and up to 50 lbs. occasionally

Education/Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent (required)
  • At least 3 years of experience in quality control within a fast-paced manufacturing setting (preferred)
  • Proven technical experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Forklift operation experience (preferred)
