Our dynamic and innovative Tech Services company is on the lookout for a passionate and experienced Consulting Security Engineer for a SailPoint project. We're seeking a professional who is adept at developing and implementing security measures to protect computer systems, networks, and data. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying and defining system security requirements, designing computer security architecture, and managing security solutions to ensure they address company needs. The role requires a deep understanding of MFA, UAR, and PowerShell.
Responsibilities:
1. Engage in the initial setup, design, and configuration of security systems, including MFA and UAR.
2. Develop technical solutions and new security tools to help mitigate security vulnerabilities and automate repeatable tasks.
3. Write comprehensive reports including assessment-based findings, outcomes, and propositions for further system security enhancement.
4. Consult with clients to identify and implement best security practices and solutions.
5. Conduct both routine and irregular security audits to identify any possible intrusions.
6. Maintain a current understanding of the latest trends in the cybersecurity industry, including attacker techniques, and communicating these trends to the team and upper management.
7. Anticipate security alerts, incidents, and disasters and reduce their likelihood.
8. Manage network, intrusion detection, and prevention systems.
9. Analyze security breaches to identify the root cause.
10. Script or automate common administrative tasks using PowerShell.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
2. At least 5 years of proven work experience as a system security engineer or information security engineer.
3. Hands-on experience in security systems, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, anti-virus software, authentication systems, log management, and content filtering.
4. Experience with network security and networking technologies and system, security, and network monitoring tools.
5. Thorough understanding of the latest security principles, techniques, and protocols.
6. Familiarity with web-related technologies (Web applications, Web Services, Service-Oriented Architectures) and network/web related protocols.
7. Proficiency in scripting/programming languages, especially PowerShell.
8. Problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
9. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively explain complex security topics to non-technical staff.
10. Professional certification like Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) is a plus.
