We are seeking candidates for Mechanical Assembler roles. Candidates will work from work orders, including drawings and blueprints, to assemble or disassemble large-scale military shelter systems using hand and power tools. This role involves modification and rehabilitation of shelter systems.
Responsibilities- Work from verbal and written instructions, including assembly or sub-assembly prints.
- Receive parts, sub-assemblies, and partially completed units.
- Measure, cut, fit, adjust, drill, rivet, and bolt as applicable.
- Use appropriate tools and fixtures to assist with the installation or complete the installation of parts, sub-assemblies, and modifications.
- Grind excess materials as required.
- Use various tools, including rivet guns, drills, sanders, grinders, routers, and other tooling and equipment as needed.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area.
- Perform other related duties and assignments as required.
- Ability to read a tape measure and perform decimal-to-fraction conversions.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints.
- Skilled in tool drilling operations.
- Knowledge of all applicable manufacturing and quality documentation required to perform job tasks.
- High School Diploma or GED.
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dallastown, Pennsylvania.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $17.50 - $20.00
