Job Overview:
ProCare Therapy is seeking dedicated and skilled Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) to join our team in Twentynine Palms, CA, for the 2024/2025 school year. As a COTA, you will play a crucial role in supporting Occupational Therapists (OTs) across the school district, working with students from kindergarten through 12th grade to enhance their functional independence in the educational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Occupational Therapists to implement therapy plans tailored to the individual needs of K-12 students.
  • Provide direct therapy services to students under the supervision of an OT.
  • Assist in developing and modifying activities to improve students fine motor, sensory processing, and daily living skills.
  • Document and report on student progress, maintaining accurate and timely records.
  • Work across multiple school sites within the district, adapting to various educational settings.
  • Communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support students' goals.

Qualifications:

  • Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in California.
  • Experience working with children in a school setting is preferred.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
