Hunter Mountain is looking for a Full Time Seasonal Assistant Manager to join our team in our Base Lodge.

 

Job Summary:

The Assistant Manager works under the direction of the Base Lodge F&B Manager. The Assistant Manager is responsible for providing a high quality food and beverage experience for our guests. This position is responsible for all front of the house and bar staff, enforcing policies and procedures, assists with inventory ordering and tracking, payroll, scheduling, reporting, pricing and all front of the house duties.

  • Outlet: Base Lodge food outlets (QSR, FSR, Bar). Marketplace & Van Winkles Restaurant
  • Shift & Schedule Availability: Full Time/Seasonal (includes weekends/holidays)

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Sets the example for all staff for service standards and menu knowledge
  • Exhibits professionalism through appearance and maintaining a positive attitude toward all employees and guests
  • Ensure all guests feel welcome and are given responsive, friendly and courteous service at all times
  • Fill in where needed to ensure guest service standards are met
  • Assist in scheduling staff as needed by anticipating business levels, ensuring all positions are staffed when needed and labor cost objectives are met
  • Ability to mentor and develop individuals while motivating, supervising and retaining a team
  • Make employment, disciplinary and termination recommendations to manager
  • Ensure that opening, shift change and closing checklists are completed for all employees
  • Responsible for restaurant credit card handling procedures, including nightly close out and daily report scanning
  • Oversees the compliance of state liquor laws and all health regulations
  • Report maintenance issues to management immediately
  • Fully understand and comply with all federal, state and county regulations that pertain to health, safety and labor requirements of the restaurant, employees and guests
  • Maintain a secure, clean, organized, and prepared restaurant
  • Ensure Daily Sales Report, journal notations, shift reports, and employee procedures are being followed.
  • Maintain payroll, personnel, paperwork and other issues as they occur
  • Ensure proper preparations and presentation of food and beverage items and oversee the food and beverage sales
  • Attend all trainings and classes as assigned or advised by manager
  • Have a flexible schedule; must be able to work weekends, holidays and some evenings
  • Other duties as assigned by your Supervisor or Senior Management

 

Job Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • A minimum of 3 years management experience
  • Must have ServSafe Certification (or ability to obtain)
  • Must have TIPS Certification (or ability to obtain)
  • Knowledge of excel, word, outlook
  • Knowledge of IGPOS, COUPA, Avero (helpful but not required)
  • Able to speak, read and communicate in English •    Ability to communicate effectively
  • Able to lift at least 50 lbs.
  • Able to stand for long periods of time
  • Maintain a professional appearance
  • Must be able to work as part of a team
  • Must have the ability to follow directions
  • Must have reliable transportation

 

The expected pay range is $25.00 - $29.55. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
