Sunbelt Staffing is currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Med Surg Telemetry RN for an exciting travel opportunity in Rochester, NY. This 13-week assignment offers the chance to expand your skills while working in a dynamic hospital environment.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Monitor patients' cardiac rhythms using telemetry equipment.
  • Perform frequent patient assessments, including vital signs, physical exams, and symptom monitoring.
  • Administer medications and IV fluids in accordance with physician orders.
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans.
  • Educate patients and families about medical conditions, treatments, and post-hospital care.
  • Provide care for patients with a variety of medical conditions, including chronic illnesses, post-surgical recovery, and acute medical needs.
  • Respond quickly to changes in patients' conditions, providing necessary interventions.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical records (EMR) system.
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and safety protocols.
  • Float to other units as needed to support staffing needs.

Qualifications:

  • Active NY State RN License
  • 2 years of Med/Surg experience
  • Telemetry experience a must
  • BLS Certification (American Heart Association)
  • ACLS Certification (American Heart Association)
  • Excellent communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and ever-changing healthcare environment.
