Job Title: Lead Analyst, Systems Maintenance – Finance Systems

Location: Hybrid, based in Waltham, MA (occasional in-office attendance required)
Contract Duration: 1 year with potential for full-time employment
Reports to: Manager, Finance Systems

PLEASE NOTE: This position requires proficiency in FI (Financial Accounting) and CO (Controlling).

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s preferred.

  • Experience: 10+ years in MIS, IT, or Finance, with substantial experience in SAP ECC or S/4 HANA systems and financial operations.

  • Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in finance systems, MS Office, relational database concepts, and finance regulations (GAAP, IFRS, FERC).

  • Problem-Solving & Communication: Demonstrated skills in issue resolution, project management, and effective collaboration with business partners.

  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with utility finance and regulatory reporting is a plus.

Join our Finance Systems team as a Lead Analyst, Systems Maintenance In this role, you’ll provide essential support for SAP ECC FICO, code block, and master data, working closely with finance business partners and controllership to capture and implement system requirements for enhanced functionality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • SAP Support: Provide expertise in SAP finance code block, master data design, and cost flow, advising on SAP functionality for financial and accounting requirements.

  • Incident Management: Respond to and resolve SAP and system-related incidents, ensuring efficient ticket resolution.

  • Close Process Assistance: Support the monthly close process, proactively identifying and resolving accounting and system process issues.

  • Governance & Compliance: Oversee critical finance interfaces, including IDOC, batch processes, and audit requirements.

  • System Documentation & Process Improvement: Develop process flows and controls, documenting system processes for audits and regulatory compliance, and championing continuous improvement.

  • Collaboration: Build effective relationships with finance and accounting partners, ensuring open communication for SAP system enhancements and compliance needs.

  • Project Leadership: Lead and collaborate on finance technology projects, managing third-party consultants, and advising leadership as needed.

Pay Details: $49.00 to $53.00 per hour
