Job Overview:
Soliant Education is seeking a passionate and dedicatedSchool Psychologistfor a full-time, onsite position in Atlas, MI for the2024-2025 school year. This is a contract position that offers petitive pay, health benefits, and a supportive work environment. The selected candidate will play a crucial role in supporting students' mental health, academic success, and social-emotional development within the school district.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psycho-educational assessments and evaluations for students with suspected disabilities or other learning needs.
  • Provide individual and group counseling to students to promote mental health and emotional well-being.
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Provide crisis intervention and behavioral support as needed.
  • Offer consultation services to school staff regarding student behavior, learning challenges, and mental health issues.
  • Conduct classroom observations and develop strategies for behavioral management and academic support.
  • Participate in school-wide initiatives to promote a positive school climate and enhance student mental health services.

Requirements:

  • Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology.
  • Valid Michigan School Psychologist certification or eligibility.
  • Previous experience working as a school psychologist, preferably in a K-12 setting.
  • Strong understanding of special education laws and practices, including IEPs and 504 Plans.
  • Excellent munication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with students, parents, and school staff.
  • Ability to work independently and manage caseload effectively.
