We are seeking an experienced Hospital Medical Leader to join our team at Petco, a leading health and wellness company focused on improving the lives of pets, pet parents, and our planet.

About the Role:

As a Hospital Medical Leader, you will be responsible for leading the hospital veterinary team in providing excellent patient care, driving business results through exceptional quality of care and client communication, and promoting a strong culture of safety for our team, clients, and patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the hospital veterinary team in providing excellent patient care and drive business results through exceptional quality of care and client communication.
  • Promote a strong culture of safety for our team, clients, and patients.
  • Develop and implement effective treatment plans for patients undergoing daytime hospitalization.
  • Mentor and coach hospital veterinarians to drive continuous improvement in clinical skills, client communication, team collaboration, and standard of care.
Requirements:
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent degree from an AVMA-accredited veterinary school.
  • 1-3 years minimum of clinical veterinary experience.
  • Active licensure as a veterinarian without contingencies in the state in which the hospital is located or ability to obtain by start date.
  • Current DEA license.
  • USDA Category I Accreditation or completion within two months of hire date.
What We Offer:

We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
