At Mercyhealth Hospital and Trauma Center, we are seeking experienced Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Nurses with expertise in Neuro, Cardiac, and Vent experience to join our team.

Job Summary

We are looking for skilled professionals who can provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. As an ICU Nurse at Mercyhealth, you will be responsible for utilizing the nursing process to collaborate with interdisciplinary team members in caring for critically ill patients.

The ideal candidate will have current Illinois (IL) License, CPR certification, and experience working in ICU settings with Neuro, Cardiac, and Vent patients. Additionally, they must be comfortable floating to the Step-Down ICU unit as needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments according to approved nursing techniques, policies, and procedures.
  • Document patient information according to standards of care.
  • Develop and implement individualized patient plans of care, as prescribed by physicians and hospital policy.
  • Participate in department or unit performance improvement activities, including shared governance.
  • Utilize critical thinking to ensure patient safety and experience, escalating concerns to the appropriate chain of command when necessary.
Requirements
  • Must have experience working in ICU settings with Neuro, Cardiac, and Vent patients.
  • Current IL License is required.
  • CPR certification is mandatory.
Work Schedule

This position requires 12-hour shifts, working nights from 7 PM to 7 AM. Every other weekend and holiday rotations are also expected.

Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 to $150,000 per year, depending on experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, retirement savings, and paid time off.
