We are seeking a skilled CVOR Technologist to join our cardiac surgical team at MedPro Healthcare Allied Staffing. As a trusted partner for healthcare professionals, we offer a rewarding travel experience with comprehensive benefits and support.
Job SummaryThis 13-week assignment will provide an opportunity to work in Burlington, Vermont, performing duties as a CVOR Technologist, including scrubbing, circulating, and setting up instruments for surgical procedures. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in cardiovascular operating room technology, with the ability to facilitate efficient room turnover and participate in departmental on-call schedules.
Responsibilities:- Perform treatments per protocols.
- Function proficiently in scrubbing, 2nd circulating, and 3rd person/Heart Holder roles of the CVOR.
- Pick supplies for surgeries, set up instruments, and scrub for surgical procedure, and perform instrument and sponge count accurately.
- Obtain specimens, hand over to circulating nurse, and verify location.
- Facilitate room turnover time.
- Participate in department on-call schedule.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Graduate of an accredited School of Surgical Technology or 3 years recent experience working as a surgical technician in an acute care setting.
- Current CPR provider card.
- A minimum of eighteen months of CVOR recent experience or completed clinical orientation specific to the surgical care of the open-heart patient population.
- Knowledge of CVOR instrumentation as it relates to specific cardiac surgical procedures and other procedures as needed.
- CABG and cardiac procedures.
