Culinary Expert for Austin Eatery

Hat Creek Burger Company, a family-centered business based in Austin, seeks an experienced Culinary Expert to join its team at the Roanoke, TX location.

We are offering a competitive salary of $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience, to lead our Back-of-House team and create exceptional dining experiences for our customers.

• Lead kitchen operations, ensuring timely preparation and presentation of food according to Hat Creek's standard operating procedures.
• Develop and maintain a positive and efficient work environment, promoting teamwork and excellence among kitchen staff.
• Monitor inventory levels, ensure accurate record-keeping, and maintain a clean and safe workspace in accordance with local and state requirements.
• Maintain expertise in kitchen equipment operation, troubleshoot issues, and report any necessary repairs or replacements.

This role requires working in a fast-paced kitchen environment with exposure to heat, steam, fire, noise, and potentially slippery surfaces. Cooks must be able to stand for up to 8 hours or more at a time and lift up to 50 pounds.

• High school diploma or equivalent required; culinary degree preferred.
• At least 1 year of experience in a commercial kitchen setting.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Able to work effectively in a team environment.
