About the Role

Framatome is seeking a skilled Thermal Hydraulics Codes and Methods Engineer to join our team in Richland, WA. As a key member of the BWR Thermal-Hydraulics Codes and Methods Business Line in the Fuel Business Unit, you will be responsible for designing and implementing numerical methods and software to support Framatome projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Designing and implementing numerical methods and software to support Framatome projects
  • Performing safety analyses in support of core design and licensing Framatome fuel
  • Supporting interfacing with regulatory authorities to obtain regulatory approval of Framatome products

Requirements

  • BS in Chemical Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering
  • Advanced degree in similar fields a plus
  • At least 2 years of experience in an engineering role
  • Experience with programming languages such as Python, C/C++, FORTRAN
  • Experience with simulation software such as CFD and FEA
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate highly technical topics to diverse groups
