Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Low Vision Occupational Therapy Assistant Specialist to join our team in Los Angeles, California. This role requires a strong clinical background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work under the supervision of an occupational therapist to implement treatment plans and execute established interventions.
  • Provide occupational therapy services on an individual or group basis, both on-site and off-site, under the direction of the supervising occupational therapist.
  • Communicate effectively with the supervising occupational therapist regarding client progress and respond to changes in patient status or needs.
  • Document client records using low vision touch points and maintain accurate inventory of devices and equipment.
  • Maintain current knowledge of emerging trends and advances in low vision protocols, devices, outcomes measurements, services, and referral sources.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A graduate degree from an accredited occupational therapy assistant program.
  • Minimum two years of clinical practice experience, preferably in pediatrics and geriatrics.
  • Excellent clinical and documentation skills, as well as strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities.
  • The ability to multitask, understand client needs, and recommend solutions to meet their requirements.
Compensation

The estimated salary for this position is $55,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience.
