Licensed Vocational Nurse

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our team at Kaiser Permanente. As an LVN II, you will provide high-quality patient care in accordance with established standards of care, policies, and procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Provide nursing care to patients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or physician, adhering to the legal scope of practice and established protocols.
- Assist medical personnel with special procedures, minor surgical procedures, and diagnostic exams, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
- Monitor patient condition, notify physicians or healthcare professionals for disposition, and prepare and administer medications as directed.
- Maintain equipment and supplies, identify and arrange for equipment needing repair, and apply principles of aseptic technique and infection control.
- Provide medical information and education to patients, following established protocols and guidelines, and document pertinent patient information, assessment, and nursing procedures.
- Transport patients to/from designated areas, route specimens to the laboratory, and transport laboratory specimens, medical records, and supplies.
- Perform administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments, checking in patients, and preparing outgoing mail.
- Minimum one (1) year of recent experience as a LVN in an acute/outpatient setting.
- Vocational Nurse License (California) and Basic Life Support certification.
