HealthCare Access Maryland seeks a detail-oriented and organized Medical Records Coordinator to support the MATCH Program. This role is part of a hybrid team working with the Baltimore City Department of Social Services to ensure foster children receive health services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage incoming calls and messages through the MATCH Program's main phone number, providing timely responses to inquiries.
  • Support the clinical team by requesting supporting documentation and screening incoming calls, ensuring seamless communication and data exchange.
  • Provide administrative data support for the MATCH Program, including data entry and record-keeping tasks.
  • Reconcile data for BCDSS and HCAM internal and external reports, maintaining accuracy and consistency in reporting.
  • Update demographics of children in foster care and upload documentation containing personal identifiable information, adhering to confidentiality and security protocols.
  • Retrieve and return medical records for MATCH's clinical team, prioritizing timeliness and efficiency in record retrieval.
  • Utilize the MATCH Program's database to identify assigned Medical Case Manager or Care Coordinator of foster children, facilitating effective case management.
  • Update addresses of foster children in the MATCH Program's database, ensuring up-to-date contact information.
  • Sort and distribute incoming mail for MATCH staff, maintaining a well-organized and efficient office environment.
  • Perform clerical duties for the MATCH management staff, providing general administrative support as needed.
  • Data entry of medical information into BCDSS' child welfare database system, ensuring accurate and secure data storage.
  • Prepare weekly administrative reports for Operations Supervisor, providing timely insights into program operations.
Requirements & Experience
  • High School or GED required; minimum of 1 year customer service experience; minimum of 1 year administrative experience.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor; organizational skills with the ability to multi-task; problem-solving skills.
  • 30+ WPM typing speed; ability to follow explicit instructions; proven ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines.
  • Computer literate specifically MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Google mail; familiarity with database systems and record-keeping software.
Salary

$45,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
