Client Advocate

Catholic Social Services is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Client Advocate to join our team at the Brother Francis Shelter. As a key member of our operations, you will play a vital role in supporting adults experiencing homelessness in achieving self-sufficiency.
As a Client Advocate, you will work closely with program participants to assess their needs, develop personalized service plans, and connect them with essential community resources. Your excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work in a team, and commitment to Trauma-Informed Care will be essential in providing a safe and supportive environment for our guests.

Key Responsibilities- Assess clients to ensure they meet program eligibility requirements
- Conduct assessments of program participants' current level of self-sufficiency
- Develop and implement personalized service plans to meet clients' needs
- Provide stabilization services to ensure clients are eligible for housing case management
- Meet with program participants regularly to review progress and complete follow-up tasks
- Associate's degree in human services or a related field
- One year of experience in human services, customer service, or a related field
- SOAR Certification or ability to obtain within 90 days
- Valid AK driver's license and reliable transportation
The Brother Francis Shelter is a 24-hour, 7-day-a-week facility that serves up to 120 male and female guests nightly. As a Client Advocate, you will work in a fast-paced environment with a high level of autonomy and flexibility. You will be required to work out of different locations, including homes, shelter, and in coordination with other agencies.
