Parts Inspector

At Hammon Plating Corp, we are seeking a highly skilled Prep and Inspection Lead to join our team. This role is responsible for preparing and coordinating with other personnel the preparation and inspection of parts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Emphasize meticulous inspection processes and procedures
• Establish the scheduling and commitment of this department with the Quality Engineer
• Take possession of the parts for inspection and preparation and distribute them appropriately to the team for processing
• Direct the team to follow guidelines, functions, and understood procedures
• Coordinate with the Quality Engineer to adhere to job-specific guidelines
• Monitor, inspect, and take ownership of parts once they are received into the inspection area
• Maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the overall inspection area

• Mechanical inspection experience required
• Must be reliable and responsible

• Excellent attention to detail
• Basic math skills
• Clear Communication Skills - Comprehend and verbally express results and conclusions
• Critical Evaluation and thinking

Physical Requirements:

• Shop experience a plus, but not necessary
• Ability to stand, stoop, bend, twist and maintain a stationary position for prolonged periods of time
• Complete repetitive movements with hands, arms, wrists, shoulders, as necessary
• Be exposed to sounds or noise levels that may be uncomfortable
• Lift, move, or transport items up to 30 pounds without assistance or injury
• Specific visual abilities to examine parts
• Wear protective clothing
• Ability to work around dust, chemicals, and other substances
