Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Scheduling Coordinator to join our team at HealthyU Family Medicine. As a key member of our scheduling department, you will be responsible for coordinating patient appointments, managing schedules, and providing exceptional customer service.

About the Role

This is a full-time position that requires a high level of organization, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills. The successful candidate will have experience in scheduling, preferably in a medical setting, and possess strong leadership skills to guide our scheduling team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Scheduling and Coordination: Coordinate patient appointments, manage schedules, and ensure timely and accurate updates in our electronic health records system.
  • Team Management: Lead and mentor our scheduling team, providing guidance and support to ensure seamless operations.
  • Communication: Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, physicians, and internal departments to ensure clear communication and resolution of issues.
  • Administrative Tasks: Perform administrative duties such as data entry, paperwork processing, and general organization to maintain a smooth workflow.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Experience: 1-3 years of experience in scheduling, preferably in a medical setting; 1-3 years of supervisory experience desired.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work in a fast-paced environment; proficiency in EMR systems and Microsoft Office.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.
  • Athena EMR experience a plus.
Work Environment
  • Typical office environment.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds.

Estimated Salary: $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience.
