Job Overview
You will support our project at Naval Station, Panama City, FL. This project will begin late 2024.
This is a highly rewarding opportunity that provides extensive career growth opportunities. As a motivated Project Engineer II, you will assist the project team in obtaining, evaluating, coordinating and distributing information and authorizations necessary to construct the project on time, within budget and to the quality specified.
This role will sit primarily on the job site, with occasional travel to the office for trainings, meetings, etc.
Responsibilities
- Partner with the Senior Project Engineer and/or Project Manager in coordinating and distributing all project information.
- Work with the project team to ensure all contract document logs are up-to-date in real time.
- Ensure status reports on RFIs, Submittals and other Documents are prepared and presented.
- Write effective scopes of work for bid packages.
- Effectively issue Request for Quotations and follow up with Trade Contractors.
- Successfully update project schedules with CPM techniques.
- Timely document field quality activities.
- Prepare change management reports, estimates and other cost report documents.
- Establish and maintain the project quality files and documentation systems.
- Continually promote organizational change initiatives, suggest new ideas, and adapt to work within new structures and processes.
- Continually seek to understand customer goals and needs and act with a sense of urgency in meeting customer needs and demonstrating value.
- Develop industry relationships and expand professional networks that have potential to generate opportunities for Gilbane.
Requirements
You should have:
- A BS or MS degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
- 2+ or more years with a large trade contractor, construction management or general contractor organization.
- Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Prior US Government/military project experience is preferred.

Estimated Salary Range
$80,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
