Job Description

RISE Housing and Support Services is seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to support the dietary needs of our residents in a community residence setting. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and serving group meals, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen, and adhering to regulatory requirements of food service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Order, maintain, and organize inventory of food items and supplies
  • Prepare and serve group meals, utilizing leftovers and properly storing food items
  • Create and follow a food daily schedule
  • Participate in menu review and revisions
  • Maintain sanitary workstations and keep a clean kitchen
  • Comply with regulatory requirements of food service
  • Ensure resident dietary restrictions are adhered to
  • Support the meal needs in other programs as needed

Requirements:

  • A high school education or GED
  • Experience cooking in a food service role
  • Experience working with sensitive populations is a plus
  • An ability to operate independently, think on your feet, and follow your training
  • Strong interpersonal boundaries
  • Clearance with all relevant background checks as per RISE policies and governing regulations
  • A valid NY State Driver's License and a driving record acceptable to the RISE automotive program desired
