The Metuchen-Edison YMCA is seeking a dynamic Sports Mentor to join our team. As a Sports Mentor, you will be responsible for providing guidance and safety to children in the Youth Sports Program.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure all health and safety guidelines are strictly adhered to
  • Provide leadership, mentoring, and instruction for youth participants
  • Encourage positive experiences and personal growth among participants
  • Maintain a positive relationship with parents and demonstrate respect for officials
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills, decision-making abilities, and strong role modeling

Requirements include a minimum of 18 years of age, CPR and First Aid certification, and experience in instructing youth recreational sports. This position requires enthusiasm, positivity, and engagement, as well as a comprehensive understanding of YMCA policies and building operations.

We offer a competitive salary range of $25,000 - $35,000 per year, depending on experience, along with opportunities for professional development and growth within the organization.
