We are a 383-bed hospital located in Bradenton, FL, with a thirteen-acre campus by the Gulf Coast beaches.

As a state-designated Level II trauma center in Manatee, Sarasota and DeSoto Counties, we provide 24-hour emergency care, open-heart surgery, burn care, cancer care, joint replacement, and inpatient rehabilitation services.

A Career as an Echo Technologist PRN

We are seeking an experienced Echocardiographic Technologist or Sonographer to join our Imaging Teams. As an Echo Tech, you will provide echocardiographic and non-invasive cardiologic examination services to patients of all ages.

You will perform procedures in a careful, compassionate, and respectful manner, prioritizing patient care and maintaining proactive communication with radiologists and healthcare team members.

Your Responsibilities
  • Prepare and position patients and equipment safely in accordance with established operating procedures.
  • Perform and process M-Mode, Two-dimensional, Color Flow, and Doppler Echocardiograms, assisting with Transesophageal Echocardiograms.
  • Maintain, compile, calculate, and prepare findings for physician interpretation and archiving.
  • Obtain high-quality radiographic and fluoroscopic images.
  • Maintain effective communication with patients, radiologists, and healthcare team members regarding findings, patient histories, and test results.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • A minimum of one year in Adult Echocardiography is preferred.
  • An Associate's degree (AA) or equivalent college hours in health science, natural science, nursing, or any other program with primary science content, or Cardiovascular Program.
  • Current Ultrasound registry required.
  • Registry required within one year of hire date with Cardiovascular Credentialing International (RCS) or The American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (RDCS).
  • Current Certification in Basic Life Support from an approved provider, such as the American Heart Association.
  • The ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, and lifting patients and/or equipment up to 50 pounds.
